Qualifications:

• Post-graduate degree (preferably in Statistics or an MBA or Economics degree with a strong quantitative underpinning) from a respected institution (e.g., DSE, ISI, JNU, IIMs, MDI etc.) with an outstanding academic record.
• 1-9 years of professional work experience with a reputed bank, insurance, other financial firm or analytics firm with at least two years of experience in risk management.
• Specific exposure to either credit risk or market risk.
• Quantitative risk management experience is essential.
• Score card Development experience
• Risk Rating Development experience
• Candidates must demonstrate both a strong business sense and deep understanding of the quantitative foundations of risk management.

• In addition, successful execution of this role will also need high levels of technical expertise. Candidates should have exposure (and some degree of expertise) to some of the following tools and techniques:
• Candidate should have sound knowledge on topics like Multivariate Statistics,
• Econometrics Analysis, Decision Tress(like CART, CHAID, etc), Optimization,
• Machine Learning ( artificial intelligence), stochastic processes etc.
• Tools like SAS, SPSS, Answer Tree, Crystal Ball, @Risk etc. Data mining tools like SAS Eminer, Knowledge Studio, Xeno, Model Builder,etc would be good.

Responsibilities:

• Solve analytically complex client problems in the Risk domain like developing Credit
• Risk Scoring Models for clients in the financial sector.
• Lead modeling workstream in client engagements (such as the development of a rating model) which includes:

Define data requirements for creating a model;

Clean, aggregate, analyze and interpret data and statistical modeling output;

Coach junior members of the team working alongside on the model development exercise.

• Provide expert advice to consulting team of modeling related issues
• Support development and maintenance of proprietary Risk management tools and other knowledge development projects.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate would be an Engineering graduate with significant experience in implementing frameworks and systems for LRM/ALM/FTP, market risk and/or Treasury
• Post-Graduation in Finance or other additional certifications such as FRM, PRM etc. would be an added advantage
• Experience of 3 – 4 years, working in a bank or a reputed consulting firm in the areas of Liquidity risk management, Liquidity reporting, ALM & FTP
• Comprehensive understanding of Asset Liability Management, Fund Transfer Pricing and Profitability frameworks
• Understanding of risk management metrics and methodologies for liquidity risk and interest rate risk, including Basel III ratios
• Knowledge of typical products offered by banks in India and GCC and cash-flow patterns corresponding to each product
• Experience in data requirement analysis, mapping and data validation
• Ability to work with large data sets, SQL, knowledge of R programming will be an advantage
• Knowledge of how to configure ALM/FTP systems would be an added advantage
• Moderate understanding of other Basel II and Basel III related aspects

Key Focus Areas:

Liquidity risk management & ILAAP, Stress testing, ALM & FTP

Advisory for design of ALM, LRM& FTP frameworks and related regulations

• Engage with clients to understand specific problem areas and deficiencies, if any, pertaining to ALM, LRM and FTP
• Recommend remedial action steps to address gaps identified
• Implementation of Basel regulations like LCR, NSFR, ILAAP and liquidity related Pillar 2 capital requirements
• Develop FTP mechanism for clients
• Develop policies, procedures and associated documents for Liquidity risk, ALM/FTP areas
• Develop business requirement specification document and Request for Proposal for ALM/FTP systems

System implementation assistance to clients and vendors

• Provide end to end support to clients (banks) during the system implementation, providing functional inputs as and when required
• Assist vendors in implementation of the system through business requirement analysis and preparation of FRS & SRS document on the basis of analysis conducted
• Assist vendors in data mapping and validation as well as in conducting User Acceptance Testing for the system
• Provide trainings and knowledge transfer sessions to users on an on-going basis

Market leadership

• Assist in development of new solutions for the firm to provide to clients based on market requirements and service line strategy
• Develop Thought Leadership articles around solutions to create market awareness and visibility
• Participate in organizing symposiums, conferences etc. to create better brand and solution visibility

Responsibilities:

• Independently drive and execute projects for banking and financial services firms in the areas of Liquidity risk management, ILAAP, Liquidity stress testing, ALM and FTP
• Engage with clients (banks) at various levels and ensure project execution as per project plan
• Provide inputs in project planning and ensure project execution within agreed time and effort estimates Assist in system evaluation, selection and implementation for various systems
• Providing assistance on other risk management engagements in the BFSI space such as market risk and treasury engagements
• Assist in enhancing current solutions and/or developing new solutions based on market needs and client requirements
• To develop and process advanced risk management tools for monitoring and mitigating the various risks inherent in the ALM function and Liquidity Risk management functions
• To serve as a gatekeeper for all Asset Liability Management (ALM) related policy frameworks
• Developing and enhancing LRM, ILAAP, FTP frameworks and developing business and product performance measurement tools
• Assist in developing marketing collateral, Thought Leadership and proposals
